Morgan County - Indiana

Morgan County is one of seven counties contiguous to Marion County, and is located between Indianapolis and Bloomington. Two state highways, State Roads 37 and 67, carry large numbers of daily commuters between the two larger communities.

Morgan County is rich with history and abundant in natural resources, housing a portion of the Morgan-Monroe State Forest. 

Housing prices vary per community but the average sales price for 2006 stood at $137,387 per the Landrigan & Company year-end report.

Cities & Towns: Martinsville (11,677) is the county seat. Other cities in Morgan County include Mooresville (5,541), and Brooklyn (1,162).

Named For: Revolutionary War General Daniel Morgan.
